Welcome to the Workshop on Teaching Sustainability in School Science Courses (Green Education for Teachers, GREAT K‐12). Our mission is to help you include some important topics and experiments in your science curricula that may inspire your students to pursue careers in chemistry and other STEM fields with the focus on sustainability.
There is a profound growth of interest among students of all ages in a sustainable healthier and cleaner environment. We believe that, if exposed to the ideas of green chemistry early, students, who consider pursuing careers in science or engineering, will have a unique opportunity to start with the mindset that every process and technology must be environmentally benign.

You will be taken through a series of instructional videos that will provide you with tools and examples that are necessary to inspire and educate your students. A questionnaire follows the videos; filling this out will provide us with opportunities to improve our site and content to better assist teachers and students.
